Dotclear Installation :

if you have not already installed the Dotclear CMS, it’s time to do it !

Download and installation of Dotclear

Podesk Plugin Installation :

Download the Podesk Plugin Zip file and decompress it into the ecrire/tools folder within the DotClear Application.

Podesk Plugin Set Up :

-  Select the "Tools" tab within the weblog Administration.
-  Select the "Podesk" tool.
-  Use the online help file to set up the Podesk plugin.

while using the plugin for the first time, this info should be displayed :

-  ***Starting installation Process***
-  Podesk directory in directory images created.
-  Podesk directory in directory share created.
-  podesk_rss2 file created.
-  podesk.ini file created.
-  podesk.ini file secured.
-  DB_PREFIX_podesk table created.

Don’t forget to register your copy of Podesk Publisher in order to use it with your video blog !

Display your videos and thumbnails

-  dcPodesk::isEmpty()Check if there is a video file related to the post

-  dcPodesk::QT_info($output_string)Dipslay info about the Quicktime movie : duration | size | bandwidth

-  dcPodesk::QT_embed($output_string)Display an easy cut and paste code box to display the Quicktime video on another website
-  dcPodesk::flv_player()Load a FLV player embeded within the page
-  dcPodesk::flv_embed($output_string)Display an easy cut and paste code box to display the FLV player and video on another website
-  dcPodesk::cclicense($output_string)Display the Creative Comons License if any
-  dcPodesk::thumb_link()Display a 320*240 picture of the video with a link to the related video
-  dcPodesk::preview_link()Display a 140*105 picture of the video with a link to the related video
-  dcPodesk::thumb()Display a 320*240 picture of the video
-  dcPodesk::preview()Display a 140*105 picture of the video
